Syndication
Syndication and feeds
Global Investigative Research publishes original investigative case studies for republication by news partners, research desks, and compliance teams. This page lists the machine-readable feeds and policies partners typically request before syndication access.
Machine-readable feeds
- RSS feed (https://globalinvestigativeresearch.org/feed.xml): Original GIR case studies with full text, categories, and media enclosures.
- Sitemap (https://globalinvestigativeresearch.org/sitemap.xml): Standard URL list for crawlers.
- News sitemap (https://globalinvestigativeresearch.org/news-sitemap.xml): Google News format for recent original articles.
- LLM index (https://globalinvestigativeresearch.org/llms.txt): Plain-text site map for AI crawlers and research tools.
Republication terms
You may republish GIR original case studies with attribution, an unchanged headline unless agreed in writing, and a canonical link to the source URL on this site. Read the full Editorial Policy and Terms of Use before syndicating.
- Credit Global Investigative Research and link to the canonical case study URL.
- Do not imply GIR endorses your publication's unrelated editorial positions.
- Commercial reuse beyond standard news syndication requires written permission.
Google News and publisher review
Automated feeds help crawlers find original reports, but Google News inclusion requires a one-time Publisher Center setup. We maintain the technical prerequisites on every deploy:
- News sitemap at /news-sitemap.xml (auto-updated on each build from
cases.ts). - Standard sitemap with image metadata for case study hero cards.
- RSS feed with full titles, descriptions, and 1200×630 image enclosures.
- NewsArticle JSON-LD, author bylines, publication dates, and editorial policy on every case page.
- robots.txt pointing to both sitemaps (no crawl blocks on public articles).
Manual steps you still need in Google Publisher Center:
- Verify domain ownership for globalinvestigativeresearch.org.
- Create a publication named Global Investigative Research and submit the news sitemap URL.
- Complete the editorial transparency section (contact, policy, ownership).
- Wait for Google review (typically days to weeks; feeds alone do not guarantee approval).
Regular Google Search indexing is supported via sitemap, RSS, canonical URLs, and IndexNow pings on deploy. IndexNow may require Cloudflare bot allowlisting if pings return 403.
